Door-to-Door Scams

Scams aimed at the Elderly (commonly known as "Gypsy Scams") are cyclical and increase in the warmer weather. Senior citizens need to be reminded that they should not open the doors to any visitors they are not expecting. If the visitor is wearing a uniform and claims to be a Utility Company employee, etc. the Senior should feel free to not open the door and instead call the utility company the subject claims to work for, to verify the person should be there.
