Position Salary       Description
Deputy Director of Community Development DOQ + excellent benefits The Deputy Director of Community Development is responsible for coordinating the plan review and code review processes and functions, implementing and coordinating business licensing and adjudication functions and providing the coordination necessary to ensure that all building, health, fire, plumbing and engineering concerns are factored into these processes. In conjunction with the Director, the Deputy Director plays an active role in managing the day-to-day activities of the department and provides supervision as directed. The position works closely with the Director of Community Development, attends various Board and Commission meetings, and interfaces with other Village departments, the public, contractors, design professionals and outside governmental agencies.

A strong customer/citizen service orientation to the public is a must with the ability to interact positively with the Village Manager, Elected Officials, other staff, contractors and the public. Requires bachelor's degree in community development, planning, public administration or related field plus a minimum of 5 years experience (including supervisory) in work related to community development, code enforcement, licensing and adjudication, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
