Voter Registration

The regular registration period will end Tuesday, February 16. Those who wish to register to vote are encouraged to do so online if possible. Online registration can be done at https://ova.elections.il.gov/ 

Grace-period registration is open February 17 – March 14, 2016 at participating locations. Grace period registrants will cast a ballot immediately after registering. Grace period registrants are not eligible to vote at the polls on Election Day or take part in Early Voting.

Mail-In Ballots:

Any registered suburban Cook County voter may apply for a mail-in ballot. It is no longer necessary to provide a reason. To obtain a mail ballot application, visit www.cookcountyclerk.com and download an application. Once an application has been submitted to Cook County, a ballot will be mailed to the address indicated on the application. Ballots will begin being mailed to voters in mid-February. The last day to request a mail ballot is March 10, 2016. Completed ballots must be postmarked by March 15, 2016.

Early Voting:

Early voting will take place February 29 – March 14, 2016.
