Overview



The Human Resources department coordinates all Human Resources related activities for the Village of Wheeling.

This includes:
  • Recruitment & Selection
  • Collective bargaining
  • Maintenance of the classification and pay plans
  • Management of employee benefit programs
  • Policy development and implementation
  • Staff development and training
 

Fire & Police Commission 


The department also serves as liaison to the Village Fire and Police Commission. Duties entail assisting the Commission in the recruitment, testing, interviewing and establishment of eligibility lists for all non-exempt sworn fire and police personnel.
